Rehab Waitlist Opens for Saranac Lake Homeowners
The Village of Saranac Lake, partnering with Adirondack Roots, is seeking low- and moderate-income homeowners in need of essential home repairs to ensure safe and healthy homes.
Homeowners are invited to submit an application through Adirondack Roots and join a waitlist of eligible projects. Awards are contingent upon the village receiving a federal Community Development Block Grant to support the work.
If the Community Development Block Grant is awarded, up to five homeowners will qualify for the funding. Work will be completed at no cost to homeowners. The program will focus on projects that correct code violations and address health and safety issues.
Eligible applicants must earn less than 80% of the area’s median income. Limits are set at $50,400 for one person, $57,600 for a family of two, $64,800 for a family of three, and $71,920 for a family of four.
Homeowners can submit applications electronically or pick up a paper application at the village offices (39 Main St., Saranac Lake).
